Flexibore Hose Overview
Bore water is an important source of agricultural, industrial and mining water supply. Bore water retrieval has been a difficult task in the past and has only recently been simplified with modern hose technology. Crusader’s revolutionary Flexibore Hose ensures simple and effective bore water retrieval. This flexible yet resilient layflat hose can be installed with great ease compared with rigid pipes. If the pump ever needs to be retrieved from the bore, it is very easy to pull up using Flexibore bore water hose.
SIMPLIFIED BORE WATER RETRIEVAL
Flexibore Hose has been exclusively developed and manufactured for a wide range of ground water extraction applications. Our flexible bore water hose is totally corrosion and microbiological damage resistant, resulting in a simplified and hassle-free bore water pumping operation. This easily transportable bore water hose can be installed at a much faster pace than rigid systems and also makes pump retrieval easy. As the proud manufacturer and supplier of the Flexibore bore water hose, we are standing by our quality with 5-year warranty.
FLEXIBORE DESCRIPTION
Flexibore bore water hose is a flexible riser used for ground water pumping. This hose is constructed by integrating thermoplastic polyurethane into a woven textile fabric of high tenacity polyester. The heavy duty internal fabric gives the hose flexibility whilst sustaining the weight of a submersible pump. The Flexibore bore hose holds both the pump and water weight so no safety cable is required. Flexibore is a flexible riser that will suit many borehole applications and is compatible with most submersible pumps. The sizes range from 40 mm to 200 mm internal diameter and depths up to 250 meters. This flexible riser hose comes complete with matching stainless steel (304/316) couplings.
With a full range of bore water hoses, Crusader hose is a leading bore water hose manufacturer and bore water hose supplier.
FLEXIBORE APPLICATIONS
Flexibore is designed for use with:
- Rural and industrial bore water retrieval
- Ground water pumping in mines
- Submersible pumps for domestic and municipal water supply
- Solar bore pumps for stock and domestic use
- Test pumping.
Flexibore Hose is specifically designed to replace rigid riser pipes – such as steel and fibreglass pipes – which are subject to rust and encrustations, and are rigid, cumbersome and costly to install and retrieve. Steel and fibreglass riser pipes are also subject to interior iron bacteria build-up. This reduces flow rates and pump efficiency. Flexibore hoses do not get iron bacteria build -up due to swelling under pressure. This keeps the pumping costs down.
FLEXIBORE SIMPLICITY
Installing a submersible bore pump with Flexibore is easy and quick. Once in the field, Flexibore is attached to the pump with the patented couplings. The pump, with hose and cables attached, is lowered into the bore using either a simple installation roller or a crane. Flexibore bore hose is manufactured in continuous lengths and can be installed with less time and labour than rigid systems, including poly pipe.
Crusader’s Flexibore Hose has been used in thousands of bores across Australia and overseas. Some of the larger submersible pumps are up to 150 kW in size and set at depths of 250 metres. We also offer a range of smaller diameter hoses which can be installed or retrieved by hand with one only operator.
FLEXIBORE HOSE ADVANTAGES
Each of Crusader’s easily-handling hoses is designed to save both time and money when compared to riser pipe. Crusader Hose creates overall hose solutions to ensure the project is completed to a high standard. Our unique Flexibore hose includes many key features and benefits to the user:
Key features of our bore hose include:
- Quick and easy hose installation and retrieval
- No internal scaling
- Corrosion and microbiological damage resistance
- Reduced head losses and improved flow rates due to swelling under pressure
- Less labour intensive due to ease of installation
- Reduced transport costs due to light weight easily handling
- Custom lengths made to order
- Potable water approved: AS 4020
- Hydrostatically tested
- Simple maintenance due to iron bacteria resistance
- Long service life
- No safety cable required.
Potable Water Approved
Another major benefit of using Flexibore bore hose is that the hose is potable water approved. Extensive tests have been carried out by the Australian Water Quality Centre and have certified AS4020 approval.
BURST PRESSURE AND TENSILE TESTING
Each Flexibore hose manufactured by Crusader Hose has undergone specific burst pressure testing to ensure optimum efficiency is achieved for bore water retrieval. Every Flexibore bore hose is hydrostatically tested in our Melbourne factory as part of our stringent quality process.
Flexibore bore hose has been independently tested by a NATA accredited laboratory for tensile tests to confirm the strength and give customers confidence that their pump will be hanging on tightly.
